"WESTBURY, N.Y. — A New York man is accused of stealing antique fire fighting equipment from a local museum, including brass fire nozzles and a brass hose holder.

Police say an officer stopped 57-year-old Carey Sutton in Westbury on Saturday morning and found the antiques in a shopping cart he was pushing down the road.

Nassau County police say they determined the nozzles and hose holder had been swiped from a storage area of the Nassau County Firefighters Museum & Education Center in nearby Garden City.

The suspect was arrested on charges including grand larceny. He's scheduled to be in Hempstead court on Sunday.

A man who answered the phone at an address listed for Sutton identified himself as his brother, and said he didn't know anything."
